Suspended sentence for a dog killer

Tamási - At the Court of Tamási sentence was passed on the man,who a few weeks ago brutally killed 12 dogs with a single cut of the knife.

Zoltán Németh had been given an 8-months prison sentence suspended for two years. His cruelty was the talk of the settlement a few weeks ago: the man sliced open the abdomen of his pregnant bitch and removed the 11 puppies from her uterus.

Neither the bitch nor any of her puppies survived this 'Caesarean section'.

All perished of the shock caused by the pain or were bled to death.- I regard it as aggravating circumstance that the cruelty was committed on 12 counts and that the animals died. - explained the judge, Dr. István Csernák.

The cruel owner, who has eight previous convictions, said in his defence in Court that he only wanted to help and would have sawn up the stomach of the bitch. To illustrate this, he has shown a needle and thread he took to Court.

To demonstrate his aptitude he explained that his skills came from having been an ambulance driver and a gravedigger at some points in his life.
